Obituary for Raymond E. Bair

Raymond E. Bair, 71, of Lakeview, OH passed away Tuesday, November 7, 2017 in his home.

Ray was born on December 7, 1945 in Springfield, OH to the late Robert D. & Constance I. Steinberger Bair. He was also preceded in death by a son, Shaun E. Bair.

He is survived by his significant other, Dina Young, his two daughters, Annette (Keith) Stewart and Andrea Masters, both of Urbana, OH, four grandchildren, Dylan Bair, Cheyenne Masters, Nathan and Jacob Stewart, two brothers, Charles “Chuck” A. (Heide) Bair of Urbana, and Robert Tad (Cathie) Bair of Cincinnati, a half-sister, Heidi Miller of Centerville, OH, and nieces, Abby and Angie.

Ray was a 1964 graduate of Graham High School. He retired from Navistar after 30 years, formerly worked for Champaign County Residential Services and owned/ operated Sleeping Bair Storage. He was a veteran of the Ohio Army National Guard during Vietnam. Ray was a member of the Indian Lake Moose Lodge #1533, former Indian Lake Elks, and UAW Local #402 of Springfield. Ray was a avid lifelong boater. He enjoyed going to the Florida Keys and working with his hands. He loved being on his boat “NonCents” and spending time with his family and adopted Indian Lake family and friends.

A celebration of Ray’s life will begin at 4:00 pm, Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Mimi’s at the Lake, 138 E. Main Street, Russells Point.
