Obituary for Thomas T. 'Tom' Scott

Thomas T. “Tom” Scott, 74, of Lakeview, OH went to his Lord and Savior, Saturday, January 7, 2017 while at Heartland of Bellefontaine. Tom was born on August 6, 1942 in Coldwater, OH to the late Robert T. and Irene A. Rengel Scott. He was preceded by a granddaughter, Shawna Maree. Tom married the former Linda Grow on September 22, 1963 and she survives along with three sons, Terrell E. (Carolyn) Scott of Midwest City, OK, Shawn M (Marcia) Scott and Anthony T. Scott, both of Bellefontaine, a foster son, Joseph (Patricia) Gibbens of Lakeview, six grandchildren, Skyeleigh, Zachery, Nancy, Toni, Michelle, and Donald, two siblings, Ruth Ann (John) Herron of Troy, OH, and Mike (Jean) Scott of Sidney, OH, and several nieces and nephews. Tom was a 1959 graduate of Anna High School and earned a business degree from Edison State College in Piqua. He was a member of Indian Lake Baptist Church in Lakeview, where he served as a deacon, and Sunday school teacher. Tom loved to read, his dogs and being with his family. Funeral services will begin at 2:30 pm, Thursday, January 12, 2017 at Shoffstall Funeral Home, 205 S. Main St., Lakeview with visitation two hours prior. Memorial contribution may be given to his family. Condolences can be expressed at shoffstallfuneralhome.com. Arrangements are in the care of Shoffstall Funeral Home, Lakeview.
