Obituary for Charles Ray Holladay

Charles “Charlie” Ray Holladay, 67, of Lakeview, OH and formerly of Marion, OH, passed away Saturday, December 8, 2018 at his home.

Charlie was born on July 26, 1951 in Marion, a son of the late Harley and Gladys Hornsby Vaughn. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Clara Burris and two infant siblings.

Charlie married Teresa Schultz on September 5, 1981 in Waldo, OH and she survives along with two daughters, Ginger A. Holladay of Cardington, OH and Jessie F. Holladay of Columbus, OH, seven grandchildren, Cody, Connor, Alex, Haley, Sierra, Allen, Skyler, two sisters, Wanda Beckel of Marion and Doris Burris of California, and a brother, Robert Holladay of Texas.

Charlie was a veteran of the United States Army. He worked at Union Tank Car Company for 30 years before retiring and moving to Indian Lake, where he owned and operated Kick Back Camping with Teresa. Charlie was a member of Indian Lake Moose Lodge #1533, Indian Lake Eagles #3615, Amvets Post #138 and The American Legion, both in Marion. Charlie enjoyed playing poker with his friends and spending time at the campgrounds. Charlie was one who epitomized “Work Hard, Play Hard, and Family First”.

A celebration of Charlie’s life will be held from 3-5 pm, Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Indian Lake Eagles #3615, 14011 Collingwood Ave, Lakeview.
